Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify a sucker punch suspect who violently attacked a man at a grocery store last Saturday in Lauderdale Lakes.

According to detectives, shortly after 7:20 p.m. on Oct. 11, BSO deputies responded to the Aldi grocery store at 3301 North State Road 7 in response to a battery. The investigation revealed that the suspect, seen above in the surveillance images and the accompanying video, argued with the victim inside the store. At some point, the suspect went outside the store and waited for the victim. The video shows that seconds after the victim left the store with his dog, the victim sucker punched him. The victim fell backwards and hit his head, sustaining significant and serious injuries.

Anyone with information on the identity of the suspect is asked to contact BSO Detective Karina Hernandez at 954-321-4236 or submit a tip through the SaferWatch app. If you wish to remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward, please contact Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS (8477), online at browardcrimestoppers.org, or dial **TIPS (8477) from any cellphone in the United States.
