Sheriff Dr. Gregory Tony and the men and women of the Broward Sheriff’s Office are proud to announce that this year’s Shop with the Sheriff holiday event will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 17, at the Walmart Supercenter in Fort Lauderdale.

The annual event, entirely sponsored by the Sheriff’s Foundation of Broward County, will begin at 9 a.m. and aims to give more than 150 Broward County students an unforgettable shopping experience.

Each student will receive a $200 gift card and be paired with volunteers from BSO’s sworn and civilian staff, as well as with members of the Sheriff’s Foundation of Broward County.

For nearly 20 years, BSO school resource deputies have coordinated the Shop with the Sheriff event. They select students from BSO districts based on specific criteria, including good behavior and financial need.

MEDIA NOTE: Interested media should RSVP with BSO’s Public Information Office by 4 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16.
