Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives have identified a man linked to a bike shop burglary that left the business with broken glass and missing cash. 

On Oct. 6, BSO detectives in Lauderdale-By-The-Sea released information in hopes of identifying the man who burglarized Pedrito’s Bike Shop located at 238 Commercial Blvd. The incident occurred around 8:19 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 18. When deputies arrived, they observed the front door of the bike shop smashed in, the cash register open and $1,900 in cash gone.

Detectives said tips from the public and surveillance video led to quickly identifying the suspect as Alex Peter Ivanivic, DOB 11/03/1960.

Ivanovic was already in custody on previous burglary charges and now faces additional charges following this investigation.
