Detectives with the Broward Sheriff's Office Homicide and Crime Scene units are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal shooting in West Park.

At approximately 1 a.m., on Monday, Aug. 17, Broward County Regional Communications received a call reporting a shooting near the 2300 block of Southwest 46th Avenue in West Park. BSO district deputies and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue responded. On scene, deputies located Zakari Glass suffering from gunshot wounds. BSO deputies immediately began administering life-saving measures. Paramedics pronounced Glass deceased on scene.

BSO’s Homicide Unit and Crime Scene Unit detectives responded to the scene and continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident.
