Detectives with the Broward Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit are releasing video of a bloody incident that occurred in Tamarac on Tuesday, Dec. 17. Investigators are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the individuals involved.

At approximately 6:30 p.m. that day, BSO deputies responded to reports of a possible stabbing at the Bank of America drive-thru ATM, located at 7001 N. University Drive. When deputies arrived on scene, a witness told investigators that he observed an unknown person stabbing the driver of a black Dodge Charger.

Video recording of the incident shows an athletically built individual approximately 6 feet tall, with short black hair and a beard, wearing a blue t-shirt, blue jeans, and green sneakers. The individual, who appears to be in his late 20s to early 30s, can be seen standing outside the Dodge Charger. The subject appears to be armed with an unknown pointed weapon and can be seen with a large amount of blood on his jeans before fleeing the scene on foot.

Through investigative means, detectives located the Dodge Charger in Fort Lauderdale later that evening. BSO Aviation responded to assist and observed the car entering the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. At the airport, investigators learned the Charger was a rental that had been returned to the rental company with blood splattered in the interior. The rental driver took off on foot and was not located.

Anyone with information on the subject’s identity or location, or information on the incident, is asked to contact BSO Violent Crimes Det.
