Detectives with the Broward Sheriff’s Office Homicide and Crime Scene Units are investigating the circumstances surrounding a murder in Dania Beach.

The homicide occurred at approximately 9:14 p.m., on Friday, April 10, near the 800 block of Northwest Second Street. According to investigators, the preliminary investigation revealed the victim, Cardal Wyche, was shot following an altercation with several people.

BSO deputies and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue responded and located Wyche suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Wyche was transported by paramedics to Broward Health Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased at 9:44 p.m.
