A woman and man are dead, and detectives with the Broward Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit are investigating the circumstances surrounding their deaths.

According to investigators, at approximately 1:47 a.m., on Monday, March 3, Broward County Regional Communications received multiple calls about a male and female arguing inside an apartment on the eighth floor of 600 E. Dania Beach Blvd. in Dania Beach. When deputies arrived on scene, they entered the apartment and found 36-year-old Dareika Chery suffering from multiple stab wounds. 

Investigators say Chery was pronounced deceased on scene.

While on-scene, deputies discovered Chris Little inside the fifth-floor hallway. They also learned Little had pushed his way into an apartment on the fifth floor prior to being located. 

Investigators say Little was detained and later transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. 

According to investigators, this is an isolated incident and there are no immediate threats to the community. The investigation continues.
