Deputies and resources from across the Broward Sheriff’s Office descended on a residence in West Park in a show of force on Friday, Aug. 22, in response to an ongoing pattern of complaints involving violence, drug sales and threats against law enforcement occurring at the property. 

Led by the BSO West Park District Crime Suppression Team, detectives served a search warrant at the residence and recovered more than 1,000 grams of cannabis, more than $5,200 in cash and seven firearms. Four vehicles were also impounded. Three men – Bruce Ceasar, Terrick Murray and Santos Diaz – were arrested and face charges of possession with intent to distribute cannabis. Ceasar also faces a charge of obstructing law enforcement during execution of a search warrant, and Diaz faces of charge of possession of drug equipment. 

The investigation began after BSO deputies responded to a report of shots fired at the residence on July 4th. When deputies arrived, they encountered a large and hostile crowd, and deputies faced threats of violence. During the ensuing investigation, it was confirmed that drugs were being sold on the property. According to detectives, criminal activity at the residence has created a climate of fear in the surrounding neighborhood. 

Multiple BSO units, including crime suppression teams from various districts, the Gang Investigations Unit, T.I.O. (Threat Intelligence Officer), K-9, Aviation, Drone, SWAT, V.I.P.E.R. (Violence Intervention Proactive Enforcement Response) and Watch Commander, assisted in the investigation.
