Broward Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit detectives arrested a 15-year-old male for the shooting death of a Dania Beach man. 

Shortly after 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 19, Broward County Regional Communications received a report of a deceased person found near a canal in the area of Ocean Waterway Boulevard and Old Griffin Road in Dania Beach. BSO deputies and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue responded. On scene, deputies located an adult male, Kevin Dominique, who was pronounced deceased. 

BSO’s Homicide and Crime Scene units also responded to the scene and determined that Dominique had been shot multiple times. 

Through investigative means, detectives learned that Dominique’s brother, a 15-year-old male, intentionally shot and killed Dominique at the victim’s home and drove his body to the area where he was discovered on Tuesday morning. 

The 15-year-old was arrested on a charge of first-degree murder with a firearm and was taken to the Juvenile Assessment Center for processing.
