At approximately 5:48 a.m., that Monday, Broward County Regional Communications received a call reporting a crash with injuries near State Road 7 and Riverland Road. BSO district deputies and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue responded. On scene, they discovered a crash involving a pedestrian and a vehicle.
The preliminary on-scene investigation revealed Joseph Jackson was driving a 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe traveling southbound on State Road 7 in the right thru lane.
