The BSO Neighborhood Support Teams (NST) is a community oriented policing initiative under the leadership of Sheriff Gregory Tony. The focus is to strengthen law enforcement and community relationships, increase awareness, and improve responsiveness thus bridging the communication gap between first responders and the community.
Neighborhood Support Team members will be working with representatives across our communities, including community leaders, business stakeholders, faith based institutions, school board officials, community activists, mental health professionals, social workers, residents, youth groups, and high school students to develop a strong network of community representation and involvement.
BSO NST representatives will focus on building a positive working relationship with their collaborative community groups with the goal of unifying efforts to meet community needs beyond routine calls for service.
NST representatives will host monthly meetings with all collective stakeholders to maintain engagement and continue to foster positive working relationships between BSO and the communities we serve.
