Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives are asking the public for help to find Juan Lobos who promised to fix a victim’s car but decided to keep it along with the $1250 she paid for its repairs.
In May of 2018, the victim approached Lobos, who was an acquaintance, in order to have him fix her car, which had been in a crash. Lobos came to the victim’s home, accepted the job and took the car and over a $1,000 cash for the repairs.
Months later, Lobos had not fixed the car. When she tried to get her car back, Lobos gave her false information multiple times, including a fake Miami address.
In October, the victim outright demanded her car and money back, but Lobos refused.
