During this month’s Shop Talk with the Sheriff, Sheriff Gregory Tony discusses the prevalence of human trafficking in Florida; the state ranks third in calls received by the National Human Trafficking Hotline.

Sheriff Tony is joined by special guest Jumorrow Johnson, the Human Trafficking Coordinator for the Office of the State Attorney 17th Judicial Circuit. On the podcast, Johnson explains how sex and labor trafficking do not discriminate and how trafficking exploits people in all walks of life. Sheriff Tony and Johnson address the specific impact in Broward County and how organizations are partnering together to eradicate the problem.
