The Broward Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help to identify the subject responsible for the fatal shooting of a 27-year-old man on March 30. The reward for information leading to an arrest was increased up to $60,000.
According to investigators, shortly after 12 a.m., that Sunday, Broward County Regional Communications received a call of a shooting in the 1200 block of East Sample Road in Pompano Beach. When deputies arrived on scene, they entered the Fire Up Smoke Shop and found Sayf Abdelaziz inside of the business suffering from a gunshot wound. Pompano Beach Fire Rescue also responded, and the victim was pronounced deceased on scene.
Detectives with BSO's Crime Scene and Homicide units are investigating the circumstances surrounding this fatal shooting. According to detectives, an unknown subject entered the business and approached the front counter with a handgun. At some point, the subject shot Abdelaziz and then immediately fled on foot.
