The Broward Sheriff’s Office Operation Medicine Cabinet and Shred-a-Thon event is coming to North Lauderdale Saturday, Sept. 25.
The free BSO event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the North Lauderdale City Hall located at 701 S.W. 71st Ave. in North Lauderdale.
During the event, residents can securely dispose of unused, unwanted or expired medications; however, needles and sharp objects will not be collected. Residents who turn in prescription drugs will receive a $5 gift card while supplies last.
Documents for shredding will also be collected. A maximum of two boxes per vehicle is allowed, and each box can be no larger than 16 inches in length, 12 inches in width and 12 inches in height.
