Broward Sheriff’s Office homicide detectives are investigating the death of an unidentified person discovered after extinguishing a car fire on Interstate 75 in Western Broward Monday morning.
Around 6:15 a.m., Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue and Florida Highway Patrol responded to southbound Interstate 75 at the Royal Palm Boulevard exit ramp in Western Broward in reference to a car engulfed in flames. After extinguishing the fire, firefighters discovered a dead person in the vehicle.
BSO homicide detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death. The identity of the person is pending notification of next of kin.
