The Broward Sheriff’s Office has ended its search for a Tamarac man who went missing around 9:30 a.m. April 3. Allan Hirschberg was found around 10 p.m. today at a Sunrise gas station. An observant passer-by notified Sunrise Police Department. Hirschberg, who has dementia, will be reunited with his family.
The 84-year-old was reported missing earlier in the day after he left Tamarac City Hall, 7525 N.W. 88th Ave., in a 2001 white Nissan Maxima with a New York tag of SPH-317. In the car with him was a small white Cairn terrier. The dog was also found safe.
