Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies, along with other first responders, are tasked with interacting and transporting individuals in their patrol cars who may have or carry the coronavirus (COVID-19) on their body, clothes or shoes during this pandemic. For this reason, disinfecting the inside surfaces of emergency vehicles has become a frequent task to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Recently, BSO was contacted by SERVPRO to professionally sanitize patrol cars. SERVPRO employees expressed their gratitude regarding first responders during COVID-19 and offered to provide free vehicle sanitation services as a means of saying thank you. One of the owners also explained this was their way of keeping their staff employed throughout this pandemic.
Simple acts of kindness can save lives and jobs. We thank our community partners for understanding the importance of compassion and urge the public to find ways to complete acts of kindness, at a social distance, amongst neighbors in the community.
