Detectives with the Broward Sheriff's Office North Lauderdale District need your help identifying and locating a man caught on camera stealing an E-Z-GO® golf cart from a North Lauderdale business.

The theft occurred on Friday, Aug. 11, near the 1500 block of South State Road 7. Video surveillance captures the thief, wearing a light-colored NASA shirt and dark NASA shorts, walking onto the business property. Detectives say the bandit walked over to the E-Z-GO® cart, placed it in reverse, and backed it into a bush before putting the motorized vehicle into drive and taking off. The thief is caught on video striking the exit gate of the business with the four-wheeled vehicle as he departs from the property.

According to investigators, local authorities recovered the golf cart six days later in Coconut Creek. However, the thief, who was caught easily on camera, has yet to be found.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on the subject's identity or whereabouts to contact BSO North Lauderdale District Detective Pedro Almodovar at 954-722-5803 or submit a tip through the SaferWatch app. If you wish to remain anonymous, contact Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS (8477), online at browardcrimestoppers.org, or dial **TIPS (8477) from any cellphone in the United States.
