DANIA BEACH STORE HAS STROKE OF BAD LUCK

Broward Sheriff's Office: Public Information Office

PIO Number: 18-11-2

Date: Nov. 2, 2018

The Lucky Seven store in Dania Beach had the misfortune of being burglarized last month, and Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies are releasing surveillance video of the break-in hoping that someone can identify the suspects.

Around 2:25 a.m. Oct. 3, surveillance video captures two unidentified males use a crowbar to force open the front door of the fashion accessories store at 1340 Stirling Road. An hour later around 3:30 a.m., the duo park a newer model Chevy Tahoe in front of the store and enter the pried-open door. They navigate the closed business first by flashlight and then with the aid of the ceiling light. Soon after, the criminal cohorts cart off several boxes of merchandise and place them into the trunk of the Tahoe. The store’s owner tells BSO detectives nearly $6,500 worth of goods were stolen.

One suspect is described as being heavyset. He wore a long sleeve hoodie with writing on the right sleeve, pants and a two-tone baseball cap. The second suspect wore a long sleeve raglan shirt, pants and a ski mask. He appears to be considerably shorter and thinner than his partner.
