DETECTIVES ASK FOR LEADS IN FATAL HIT-AND-RUN

Suspect: unidentified

Description of Incident: 

Broward Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Investigations detectives are asking for the public’s help to find the driver who struck a pedestrian and fled the scene Friday night in Unincorporated Broward.

Cecil Harden was in the roadway near the 3000 block of West Sunrise Boulevard when a blue 2007 Honda Accord struck him; the driver did not stop to help the injured pedestrian. 

Harden was pronounced deceased at 11:38 hours. 

Investigators recovered the abandoned car. The driver remains at large. The investigation is ongoing.
