DETECTIVES ARREST SECOND SUSPECT IN HOMICIDE, ROLLOVER CRASH IN PEMBROKE PARK

Suspect 2: Christopher Campbell, 29, male, 12/25/89, 8325 N.W. 19th Ave., Miami (IN CUSTODY)

Description of Incident:


Broward Sheriff’s Office homicide detectives arrested Christopher Campbell, 29, yesterday for his role in the murder of Wadarius R. Harris on October 26 near the 3200 block of Southwest 52nd Avenue. Detectives had previously arrested his co-defendant, Eric Vail, on January 29.

At approximately 5:10 a.m., deputies responded to the scene of a two-car rollover crash with injuries in a residential neighborhood in Pembroke Park. While deputies were en route to the scene, dispatch received additional reports of gunfire in the area. 

When they arrived, deputies found a white S-10 Chevrolet truck and a gray Nissan Altima. Both vehicles were upside down on the roadway. Deputies located Eric Vail and Christopher Campbell, both with nonlife-threatening injuries at the scene. Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue transported both men to an area hospital.

Investigators found Harris in the truck. BSFR pronounced him dead at the scene at 5:14 a.m.
