Description of Incident:

A deadly confrontation at an auto body shop in Pembroke Park ended with two people dead and two hospitalized Tuesday night.

Shortly before 8:30 p.m. on July 23, a group of individuals confronted a mechanic at Dwayne’s Auto Body Shop located in the 2400 block of Southwest 31st Avenue in Pembroke Park. Broward Sheriff’s Office homicide detectives said when the verbal confrontation escalated to physical violence, four people were shot.

The group of more than three people left the scene and drove to the BSO South Broward district office, which was nearby at 3201 W. Hallandale Beach Blvd. in Pembroke Park. When the vehicle arrived at the district, a lieutenant and other deputies started rendering aid to the three gunshot suspects and requested Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue to respond. BSO paramedics arrived, continued the medical treatment and transported all three to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood. Detectives would later learn that the three suspects are brothers, and the oldest brother died at the hospital. The other two brothers are expected to recover.

Deputies who responded to the auto body shop discovered the lifeless body of the victim, the mechanic.
