Description of Incident:
Broward Sheriff’s Office traffic homicide detectives responded to a collision Monday morning that left one man dead. 

At approximately 6:55 a.m. on Oct. 7, Henerick Sedier was exiting a business driveway onto Northwest 19th Street in Lauderdale Lakes. As he was completing a right turn onto the street, a 2018 Chevrolet Cruze, traveling westbound in the 3600 block of Northwest 19th Street, struck the rear of Sedier’s landscaping truck. 

As a result of the impact, both vehicles became engulfed in flames. Upon seeing the fire, Sedier exited the vehicle and did not suffer injuries. The driver of the Chevrolet Cruze, later identified as Eugene Suggs of Lauderhill, was unable to exit the car. Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue pronounced him dead at the scene.

Sedier remained on scene and cooperated with BSO detectives.

The traffic homicide investigation is ongoing.
