Description of Incident:

It’s not the best video, but it’s a solid clue detectives have to help them solve a November robbery that took place in the city of Oakland Park.

Detectives say Luis Gonzalez, who was 40 at the time of the incident, was attacked by a knife-wielding suspect around 12:30 a.m. on November 1 as he was walking down the sidewalk in the 4100 block of Northwest 11th Avenue.

Responding deputies found Gonzalez on the ground suffering from wounds to his neck and bicep. Oakland Park Fire Rescue transported the victim to Broward Health Medical Center for treatment.  He was subsequently treated and released.

Deputies canvassed the neighborhood looking for clues and obtained a home surveillance video of the suspect after the attack.  Though the video is not HD quality, detectives are hoping its release helps jog someone’s memory and generates the tip they need to get the suspect into custody.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Robbery Detective David Agusti at 954-321-4332. If you wish to remain anonymous, contact Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS (8477) or online at browardcrimestoppers.org. Anonymous tips that lead to an arrest are eligible for a reward of up to $3,000.
