Description of Incident:
An adult female and two adult males were found shot to death in a home in Pompano Beach. Detectives with the Broward Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit are now investigating the circumstances surrounding this double-murder suicide.

According to investigators, at approximately 7:17 p.m., Broward County Regional Communications received a welfare check call for an individual who resided near the 300 block of South Golf Boulevard in Pompano Beach. BSO deputies responded and noted that two vehicles were parked in the driveway and that the mailbox was overflowing with mail. Deputies then knocked on the residence’s door several times but received no answer.

Concerned for the individuals inside the home, a deputy requested Pompano Beach Fire Rescue respond to assist with gaining entry into the residence. Once inside, emergency crews located three individuals suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Detectives said one of the individuals was the shooter, James Sheridan, who appeared to have suffered from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
