According to investigators, on Monday, June 3, BSO detectives responded to an outside storage facility located at 91 N.E. Ninth St. in Pompano Beach after receiving a report of animal abuse.
On scene, detectives heard whimpering and barking coming from a unit. Investigators discovered 10 dogs in distress inside the non-ventilated unit. A foul odor emanated from the unit. There were four dog cages inside. The first cage had two puppies, the second cage had six puppies, the third cage had one full-grown female dog and the fourth cage had one full-grown male dog with a heavy metal chain around his neck.
