0001486459.jpgBroward Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested QuanTez Rodney Baker Monday afternoon for firing several shots at his father and a female friend on the evening of January 4 outside a Pompano Beach home.

At approximately 5:45 p.m., near the 2500 block of Northwest 5 Street, surveillance video captured the moment when Baker slowly drove a gray Mercedes GL350 SUV past the Pompano Beach home and fired multiple shots at a couple standing in the front yard. In the video, bullets strike the home’s exterior walls.

Immediately after the shooting, the car sped from the scene. Neither of the victims were injured.

Detectives believe the motive for the shooting may have escalated from an argument over money.

Baker is a convicted felon who is currently on probation for charges relating to grand theft of a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon and resisting arrest.

Baker surrendered to BSO detectives on January 14. He is currently facing charges for attempted murder, aggravated assault with a firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, violation of probation and shooting a missile into a dwelling.
