Lieutenant Chauncey Cade began his career with the Broward Sheriff’s Office in 2011 as a road patrol deputy in the Pompano Beach district. In 2014, he was assigned as a detective to the newly formed Burglary Apprehension Team. He later worked various assignments as a detective in the Central Broward Crime Suppression Team, Pompano Beach Criminal Investigations, Violent Crimes Unit, and the Strategic Investigations Division Gang Unit.
In 2018, he was promoted to sergeant and worked as a road patrol supervisor in Deerfield Beach and Pompano Beach. He served as a sergeant in the Strategic Investigations Division, Pompano Beach Crime Suppression Team, and the Deerfield Beach Crime Suppression Team. In 2023, he was promoted to lieutenant and became the executive officer for the Deerfield Beach District. In October 2024, Lt. Cade assumed the role of executive officer for the Central Broward/Lauderdale Lakes District.
Lt. Cade holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a minor in Political Science, a Master of Applied Social Sciences in Public Administration, and a Master of Applied Social Sciences in Criminal Justice from Florida A&M University.
