Posse Program

BSO Print Logo Broward County Sheriff's Office

The Sheriff’s Posse functions as an auxiliary unit of the Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO). It is comprised entirely of volunteers –putting their special skills and equipment to good use aiding our office and augmenting our manpower during times of need.

As members of the Sheriff’s Posse, you may be called upon to help with special events, chaperoning, report writing, or information gathering. If you want to get involved in preventing crime, this is the ideal opportunity to do so.

Click here for the application for the POSSE program. (This is a PDF file and requires Adobe Acrobat Reader.) Complete the application and email it to Dean_Mirra@sheriff.org.

Applicants should attach a photocopy of their driver's license or other identification to this form.  Applicants must pass a background check, possess a valid Florida driver's license, and comply with all program policies and procedures.
