BSO District 10 – Deerfield Beach is Broward County's northernmost district. The city, encompassing approximately 16.25 square miles, is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the east, the Florida Turnpike to the west, the Palm Beach county line to the north, and the City of Pompano Beach to the south.

BSO was contracted to provide law enforcement services for the city in 1990. The district has an annual operating budget of approximately $27 million, which provides 153 positions, including 1 district captain, 3 lieutenants, 13 sergeants, 119 deputies, 6 community service aides, 3 administrative staff, 1 crime analyst and 7 parking enforcement specialists.

Deerfield Beach is a well-known surf community with very popular boating waterways and the International Fishing Pier, an angler's paradise. Waterfront eateries provide the freshest seafood in Broward County and the best live entertainment. There are acres of city parks, the Arboretum Tree Zoo, and a calendar packed with free festivals and concerts all year long. Deerfield Beach… proudly known as "more than just a pretty beach!" and the Broward Sheriff's Office Deerfield Beach district is proud to serve this community.

The Town of Deerfield was incorporated on June 11, 1925, with 1,300 residents. In 1939, the town's name was changed to the City of Deerfield Beach, where today more than 80,000 citizens reside.
