Chaplain Services oversees religious volunteers of various denominations who provide spiritual encouragement and educational services to the inmates within the Broward County Jail. Chaplain Services is responsible for providing a confidential environment for the employees of the Broward Sheriff's Office and their immediate family members. At the request of an employee, births, hospitalizations and deaths are made known to the agency though the use of the Chaplain Services Notices. Chaplain Services offers emotional support during this time in the life of the employee. Chaplain Services networks with various religious institutions to meet the multi-denominational needs of its employees.

Notifying an inmate of the death of an immediate family member is arranged through Chaplain Services.
