TO ALL COMMUNITY MEMBERS:
The Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO) has established a registry for persons with developmental disorders. This registry is part of a community service program that will allow Broward Sheriff’s Office emergency personnel to better respond to and serve persons with disabilities.
This program is available to anyone who resides in or frequently visits Broward County who has a special needs diagnosis.
Participation in the program is voluntary. All participants will provide important information for the purpose of helping emergency personnel better serve the identified person.
Once an individual has been registered, an entry will be made in the BSO Computer Aided Dispatch System. This information is intended for informational purposes only.
Once enrolled, the identified person will be provided with a
Special Needs Identification Card. This ID card will include pertinent information about the individual that may help emergency responders better serve the individual.
We value the opportunity to serve our community. The information provided on this registration form will allow us to better serve the residents and visitors of Broward County.
