Lisa Castillo has extensive experience working with the community. She holds a marketing degree from the State University of New York, and has lived and worked in Broward County since 1996. Mrs. Castillo began her career as a Legislative Assistant to Mayor Ed Koch where she helped represent the city before the state legislature. During her time In New York, she held a series of management positions, including Senior Manager of Operations at the New York City School Construction Authority as well as serving as the Senior Community Relations Specialist with the School Construction Authority. Mrs. Castillo has also served as Chief Aide to a Broward County Commissioner and today serves as Chief of Staff to Sheriff Scott Israel. In her role she manages legislative and intergovernmental functions within BSO and is responsible for coordinating the implementation of the Sheriff's internal policies and projects.
