PARADE OFFERS FAMILY FUN AND STREET CLOSURES

The annual Founders Day Parade for the city of Deerfield Beach kicks off on Saturday, February 16, 2002, and with it comes some street closures.

During the parade, which runs from 10:00 am to approximately 1:00 pm, the following streets will be closed to traffic:

East Hillsboro Blvd, from N. Dixie Highway to Ocean Blvd.

North & South Federal Highway at East Hillsboro Blvd.

NE 20th Ave. from NE 2nd Street to SE 10th Street

Ocean Blvd. (A1A) at the Palm Beach County Line

The Broward Sheriff's Office will provide security on the parade route and representatives from BSO Marine Patrol, Mounted Unit, Community Affairs, Motors Division, and Hurricane “Canes On Patrol”, will take part in the parade.
