Sgt. Rossman created the BSO Organized Retail Crime unit. The Broward Sheriff’s Office ORC unit has seized $75,000 cash for civil forfeiture. The unit educates law enforcement as it relates to organized retail crime, works with retailers and various other local law enforcement agencies to dismantle these groups and forms a task force to address this growing problem. Sgt. Rossman also provides training to numerous police agencies, state and federal prosecutors and private industries throughout the tri-county area.

The Florida Retail Federation is dedicated to making Florida one of the best places in the United States to do business. Since its inception in 1974, the Law Enforcement Officer of the Year award has grown to be recognized among Florida law enforcement as one of the most prestigious honors.
