Description of Incident:

Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives are asking the public to come forward if they have any information related to the sexual assault of a woman in Lauderdale Lakes on February 9.

The 48-year-old victim was walking north on State Road 7 at around 5:30 that morning to meet a co-worker who gives her a ride to work. As she arrived at the meeting location, the One United Bank at 2412 N. SR 7, she was approached by two men. One was on a bicycle; the other was on foot. One of the suspects pointed a gun at the victim forcing her behind the bushes near the drive-thru teller area. The other man struck and choked the victim, pushing her to the ground. The assailants then forcibly sexually battered the victim. The pair took the woman’s purse and phone and fled the scene.

The victim was transported to the Sexual Assault Treatment Center.

Both suspects were dressed all in black. One man is described as tall, the other as short.
