Description of Incident:
Broward Sheriff's Office Robbery detectives are releasing surveillance video in the hopes of identifying three male suspects who attempted to rob a manager at a business in North Broward last month.
On March 25th just after midnight, one of the unidentified males walked into RS Systems, located south of Deerfield Beach at 4699 North Federal Highway, and demanded cash from the manager. The manager refused, telling the armed Hispanic male that he would have to shoot him first. The victim later admitted to BSO robbery detectives that his actions could have gotten him shot, but he was thinking about his brother who died a few months earlier. The manager was wearing his brother’s jewelry and feared the suspect would try and take it too.
Not quite sure how to respond, the five-foot six inch, approximately 150 pound suspect ran out of the business empty handed with the manager not far behind. Then a second suspect, an unidentified white male about five feet eight inches tall and approximately 170 pounds, confronted the victim with a bat. The criminal trio fled in a 4-door tan vehicle, possibly a 1990 Chevrolet Caprice. All three suspects, two Hispanic males and one white male, are believed to be between 18 and 24 years old.
Anyone with information on this case or the identity of the suspects is urged to call BSO Robbery Det. Lou Pugliese at (954) 321-4270 or call Crime Stoppers, anonymously, at (954) 493-TIPS.
MEDIA NOTE: THE MARGINAL QUALITY BLACK AND WHITE VIDEO, WHICH SHOWS THE SUSPECTS APPROACHING AND RUNNING FROM THE BUSINESS, IS AVAILABLE FOR YOUR REPRODUCTION AT THE BSO MEDIA RELATIONS OFFICE.
