SURVEILLANCE VIDEO RELEASED IN TAMARAC AT&T STORE ROBBERY

SUSPECT CLIPPED CELL PHONES FROM KIOSKS

Broward Sheriff's Office Robbery Unit detectives have obtained surveillance video https://www.box.com/s/ec58f9c914b9f8baa10c from an armed robbery of a cell phone store July 17 in Tamarac. Posted below is the updated media alert from 7/17.

The BSO Office of Media Relations is currently working a developing incident regarding an AT&T store robbery located at: 10181 W. Commercial Blvd., Tamarac.

Public Information officer Mike Jachles is currently gathering the details. Here's what we know so far:

Broward Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the AT&T Wireless store at the above address in Tamarac at 4:47 p.m. July 17. A robber, armed with a handgun, entered the store and began cutting the cellphones from the display kiosks. He threatened an employee and fled the store on foot. The suspect is described as a black male with a heavy accent, about 6-feet tall with a medium build. He was wearing a grey, long-sleeved hooded sweatshirt and light blue jeans. He also had a light goatee or facial hair. The suspect ran out of the store to the back of the business then fled on foot. There were no customers in the store at the time, nor was anyone injured.
