Description of Incident:

A fugitive featured on America’s Most Wanted earlier this year was tracked down and caught following a foot chase in Lauderhill this morning.

The suspect, Amos Isaac, 27, was wanted for nearly beating a 20-year-old woman to death with a shovel. The attack occurred on January 10th of this year and the brutal crime was featured on the America’s Most Wanted program that was shot with the Broward Sheriff’s Office in February. Isaac managed to elude authorities for months but the BSO Fugitive Squad developed information that he was in the area of NW 19th Street and State Road 7 in Lauderhill. This morning, Fugitive Squad deputies watched him walk into a Wendy’s on the corner of that location. When deputies entered the restaurant Isaac ran out the opposite door and headed westbound into the Sandalgrove Apartment complex. Fugitive Squad members gave chase and caught up with Isaac on a second floor stairwell in the 4600 block of NW 19th Street.

Isaac is now being held without bond in BSO’s main jail.
