Chop Shop Shut Down

Broward Sheriff's Office deputies conducting a stolen vehicle investigation discovered a chop shop at around 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 14, at 116 S.E. 3rd Street in Deerfield Beach.  Six stolen vehicles and parts of at least four more cars were found inside two bays at the warehouse.

While deputies were on scene conducting their investigation they noticed a car circuling the area. They made contact with the driver and, upon running the car's tag, discovered the car he was driving had been reported stolen. The man turned out to be the renter of the two garages where the stolen cars had been found. He had been renting the two units for about 3 weeks.

The man in custody is: Delano Carlo Henry, 24, of Lauderhill

He's facing charges of grand theft auto and running a chop shop. He has priors for the same offenses and was currently on probation.
