The early morning assault occurred approximately 3:45 Saturday, October 6 at the IHOP at 3101 W. The suspect then pulled what witnesses said was a knife or other cutting instrument from her waistband area and threatened to kill the cashier. A man intervened and pulled the suspect away. The two left in a gray SUV.
