News from BSO

Tune in 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17 to the Lifetime cable television network when Broward Sheriff Al Lamberti joins host John Walsh on America’s Most Wanted.

Television’s top crime-fighting show will feature the Broward Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Squad. Camera crews will follow Sgt. Abby Tiger and her team through the streets of Broward tracking down and picking up some of the county’s most wanted criminals. The squad will target Isaac Amos, 27, who is wanted for trying to kill a woman by hitting her multiple times with a shovel and Fritz Alisme, 39, who is wanted for 12 counts of sexual battery on a child.

In an effort to bring a gunman to justice, Walsh will also highlight the shooting of two Subway employees during a robbery attempt that occurred last year Sept. 14 at 2863 W. Sunrise Blvd. near Fort Lauderdale.

The BSO Fugitive Squad pursues felons countywide who are wanted for various violent criminal offenses, domestic violence warrants, and parole and probation violators. Of the more than 1,900 criminals apprehended by the squad last year, there were 20 murderers, 155 robbers and 52 suspects charged with sexual battery.
