Description of Incident:

Broward Sheriff's Office investigators are stretching out the long arm of the law in an effort to catch The Rubber Boot Robber.

Some time around 3:00 in the morning on January 31, 2002, an unidentified white male tore away some plywood on the roof of one of the businesses housed in a storage area at 103 NE 8th Street in Pompano Beach.

Then the early morning intruder dropped to the floor below and made his way into the business next door, Tropical Boat Lifts, Incorporated. As soon as he did so, The Rubber Boot Robber set off an audible burglar alarm.

Realizing that being caught in the act would not make it a good year, the fleet-footed felon beat a hasty retreat into the darkness.

Now detectives are asking for your help in catching this man. The Rubber Boot Robber is a white male, about 5-foot-9 inches tall, somewhere between 18 to 22 years old. He was wearing a
T-shirt, shorts, and oddly enough, rubber boots. He has short, dark hair, and wears glasses.
If you know who he is, call Crime Stoppers at (954) 493-TIPS.
