Description of Incident:
BSO detectives captured a man wanted for a California murder after the dangerous fugitive accepted delivery of a parcel filled with marijuana at his Lauderhill apartment.
On June 15, 2002, the Broward Sheriff's Office intercepted a United Parcel Service package loaded with several pounds of marijuana. The parcel was addressed to the apartment of Kyshawn Parkinson, 4211 NW 19th Street, number 175.
BSO detectives returned to Parkinson’s home on the morning of July 16, 2002, arrested the suspect, and took him to the Broward Sheriff's Office Main Jail on a drug charge.
Later that day, Parkinson’s fingerprints came back as matching those of Patrick Glanville, wanted by California authorities on a murder warrant. Los Angeles detectives say that Patrick Glanville, (a.k.a. Kyshawn Parkinson), lured Richard Jackson into a drug deal that ended with Jackson shot dead on June 28, 2000.
Glanville’s arrest by BSO brings to three, the number of suspects now locked up for the murder of Jackson. L-A detectives say one other suspect is still on the run.
Glanville is being held on 1-million dollars bond for the California murder warrant. Los Angeles detectives plan to travel to Broward County to bring the fugitive back to face the murder charge.
