Description of Incident:

A two-man team of robbers hits a convenience store in North Lauderdale and gets physical with staff and customers alike. Broward Sheriff's Office detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying the two thieves.

Muhammed Meer was behind the register at the Stop N Go in North Lauderdale when two men, their faces covered with T-shirts, ran into the store and jumped over the counter. One of the robbers threw Meer to the floor, punched him repeatedly and yelled, “Where’s the money?” while the other ransacked the cash register. The thieves, who were armed with a knife, searched through the clerk’s pockets and stole his cell phone.

During the robbery, a customer entered the store and was also grabbed by one of the men. Meer asked the robbers to lock him and the customer in the bathroom where they waited until the suspects left the store.

BSO detectives are searching for the two men. One is described as a Hispanic male who wore a gray shirt, black shorts and high-top sneakers. The second thief is a black male who wore a multi-colored striped shirt, jeans and sandals. The two men were in the store just under two minutes. They both ran in the direction of the San Remo Apartment Complex located next to the business.
