The Broward Sheriff's Office Media Relations Unit is experiencing heavy demand for information about 38-year old Nevia Abraham, a suspect taken into custody today by Miami-Dade authorities.

The Records Division of the Broward Sheriff's Office has been asked to make any and all records concerning Mr. Abraham available to Miami-Dade authorities.

Information concerning Mr. Abraham that is currently and immediately available to the Broward Sheriff's Office Media Relations Unit is as follows: Nevia Abraham (date of birth of 11/18/1964) was arrested by the Broward Sheriff's Office on January 5, 1988 for shooting into an occupied dwelling. Hallandale Beach Police arrested him on July 29, 1988 on charges of aggravated assault. On December 29, 1992 Hollywood Police arrested him on several charges including battery on a law enforcement officer. On December 1, 1993, Ft. Lauderdale Police arrested Mr. Abraham for an offense not known at this time. On July 11, 1995, Ft. Lauderdale Police arrested Abraham again for breach of peace. Miramar Police arrested Mr. Abraham on August 9, 1997 and charged him with battery. The Broward Sheriff's Office arrested Mr. Abraham on October 29, 1997 and charged him with burglary. Hallandale Beach Police arrested Mr. Abraham on May 22, 1998 on a number of traffic-related offenses.
