Over three dozen up-and-coming leaders will be officially promoted by Sheriff Al Lamberti in a special ceremony Monday morning.

The promotions involve employees throughout the agency including the Departments of Fire Rescue, Detention and Community Control and Law Enforcement.

“Promotions are a very important part of one’s career. They show leadership and commitment,” Sheriff Al Lamberti said. “These employees have demonstrated exemplary work and I’m proud to promote them.”

Fire Rescue Captain Jon O’Brien is being promoted to battalion chief.

Fire Rescue lieutenants Fadil Ameerally, Brendan Branagan, Timothy Coffy, Thomas Kinsey and Marc Scarfone are being promoted to captain.

Sergeants Nadine Dunn, Shawn Enser and Chris Mulligan are being promoted to lieutenant.

The following Fire Rescue driver/engineers are being promoted to lieutenant: Keith Martin, Kenneth Siciliano, Randy Slack, Thomas Strok, Marcel Ulett and Anthony Walker.

The following deputies from the departments of Law Enforcement and Detention are being promoted to the rank of sergeant: Gabriel Aragon, Karen Archibald, Janet Bernert, Jonathan Brown, Tanya Curry, Jason Falowski, Derrick Folsom, Lester Johnson, Jimmie Long, Marlene Newman, Gale Noriega, Erica Ramsey, Samuel Samaroo, Robin Shepherd-Ryan, Rodney Sims, Kenyatta Slaton and Juan Thomas.

Firefighter/paramedics promoted to driver/engineers include Christopher Boyer, Thomas Craven, James Dobson and Aileen O’Neill.

Also being promoted is Debra Lesniak to assistant director for the Department of Community Control.

After the promotions, Sheriff Lamberti will swear in 19 new employees to BSO’s Fire Rescue Reserve Unit.
