T.H.U.G.S. added to BSO’s Most Wanted
A new program targeting the apprehension of violent felony fugitives with ties to Broward County now has increased visibility with the addition of these individuals to BSO’s Most Wanted List.,Operation T.H.U.G.S. (Taking Hoodlums Using Guns Seriously), developed by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), is being implemented throughout Florida to reduce gun violence by targeting fugitives with dangerous and violent criminal histories. Working in cooperation with FDLE, BSO designed a searchable database of felony fugitives who are wanted in Broward County or who have ties to the area. The new feature is available on BSO’s web site, www.sheriff.org.,Suspects in the T.H.U.G.S. program are wanted for violent crimes such as homicide, robbery or sexual assault and have used a firearm in connection with the wanted offense.,Anyone with information that could lead to the apprehension of any person on BSO’s Most Wanted List should call Broward Crime Stoppers at (954) 493-TIPS.,Click here to access BSO’s Most Wanted List.
