Description of Incident:

Broward Sheriff's Office robbery detectives are trying to track down three suspects who pulled off a $200,000 jewelry heist in the parking lot of a Weston resort.

The robbery occurred shortly after 7 o’clock Wednesday night in the parking lot of Vacation Village, located at 16700 Blatt Boulevard. Bobby Kim and Jiahn Han said they were removing small duffel bags from their car trunk when the suspects pulled up in a silver Chevrolet van. One of the suspects pointed a black handgun at the victims and ordered them to lie down on the ground. The three unidentified males, believed to be of Latin descent because of their accents, fled the scene with duffel bags filled with $190,000 dollars worth of gold wedding rings, bracelets, and other fine jewelry. The robbery trio also stole $10,000 in cash. Fortunately no one was injured.

Kim and Han, who live in New York City, said they were still in town after attending a jewelry convention at the Miami Convention Center last weekend.

Anyone with information on the identity and/or whereabouts of the suspects is urged to call BSO Robbery Det. John Donadio at (954) 321-4270 or call Broward Crime Stoppers, anonymously, at (954) 493-TIPS.
